Trip Highlights

Sanctuary Vineyards - A bottle of red, a bottle of white, whatever kind of mood you're in tonight. Award-winning wines to suit every palette. Learn how this Currituck County vineyard produces world-class wines as you sip the fruits of their labor. You'll travel in style as you take a boat across the Currituck Sound from Duck to Jarvisburg.

Distillery Tastings - You'll visit the Outer Banks Distilling Co, the first legal distillery on the Outer Banks, and Buffalo City Distillery, inspired by the defunct town that was known as "the moonshine capital of the world" located on the Dare County mainland.

Sunset Cruise - Nothing could be finer than a sunset in Carolina on the Downeast Rover. Cruising on the water with a glass of champagne will generate a sensory overload in the best way. This experience is magnificent!

Arrival

If you arrive by vehicle, there is parking on the property. We offer a discounted shuttle service from Norfolk Airport (ORF) for anyone arriving by plane. Sit back and relax while your OBX Adventures representative transports you to the Outer Banks. After the 90-minute ride, we will assist with your luggage and show you to your room.

Lunch

Partake in a traditional seafood boil paired with local beer or wine for a proper welcome to the Outer Banks. Enjoy the flavors of Alaskan snow crab legs, scallops, clams, mussels, lobster, shrimp, and more at an unforgettable meal. The Outer Banks Boil Company will cater a traditional boil made fresh on-site.

Afternoon

Start your trip on the right foot with a distillery tour and tasting at Buffalo City Distillery. You will sample 6 of their products consisting of whiskeys and vodkas. Named after a town that sprang up on the Dare County mainland before prohibition and had fallen on hard times, it quickly became known as the "moonshine capital of the world." Learn the history behind this defunct city that has become folklore.

Dinner

Your private reception will take place at the upstairs mezzanine of Trio Restaurant & Market. Boasting a cosmopolitan vibe and inventive cuisine, this local favorite is the ultimate start to your culinary journey.

Evening

Behold a stunning Outer Banks sunset from the private pier as you sip on a celebratory champagne toast.

Complimentary beach cabana service, sound side activities, or use of the amenities on the property. Shuttle service to The Wright Brothers National Memorial or Jockey's Ridge State Park is available.

Lunch

Savor alfresco dining overlooking the Currituck Sound at Aqua Restaurant. Listening to the water rolling up against the sound side retaining wall is simply divine.

Afternoon

Taste the tannins at an epic wine tasting via the Sanctuary Vineyard Voyage. From Duck, you'll take a 6-mile boat ride across the Currituck Sound to a hunting lodge boathouse, in Jarvisburg, where a 4x4 safari truck will take you overlanding to Sanctuary Vineyard for your Reserve Wine Tasting. You will be offered a selection of 6 limited-edition dry wines from this award-winning vineyard that has been recognized in a feature by Wine Enthusiast. Each guest will select a complimentary bottle to treasure (only available for September dates).

Dinner

Engage in the open kitchen dining experience as a personal chef prepares dinner on-property. As a master of the craft, the meal will be tailored to your preferences along with a presentation that is visually appealing and delicious.

Evening

Enjoy a diverse assortment of flavors with a Charcuterie Board Social. Grab your drink of choice and test your palette to find your perfect pairing.

Morning

Clear your mind and balance your body with a private beach yoga session. Along with the stunning ocean backdrop, you'll smell the aroma of saltwater in the air and hear the waves crashing as you allow your whole body to relax. The remainder of the morning offers complimentary beach cabana service, sound side activities, or use of the amenities on the property.

Lunch

Lunch will follow at Blue Moon Beach Grill known for its "once in a blue moon dining experience." They offer Southern comfort food with a creative flair. Thanks to their popularity, they were able to commission a custom-built restaurant to double the number of guests they could accommodate in 2023.

Afternoon

Visit the first legal distillery on the Outer Banks. The Outer Banks Distilling company produces award-winning rums sure to tickle your taste buds. You'll sample some Kill Devil Rum Recipes directly from the source at The Wheel House Lounge located at Outer Banks Distilling. Stroll along the historic downtown Manteo waterfront on a walking tour highlighting the Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse, Manteo Weather Tower, and Queen Elizabeth II.

As the afternoon comes to a close, join the crew of the Downeast Rover and experience the natural splendor of a sunset cruise out of the Shallowbag Bay. A poll conducted by USA Today determined OBX was voted the 5th best location to watch the sunset in the United States. After experiencing a sunset from the poop deck of a 55' topsail Schooner with a glass of champagne, those voters may want to reconsider.

Dinner

Your last dinner will embody the relaxed coastal vibes of the Outer Banks. Mimi's Tiki Hut overlooks Pirate's Cove Marina in a casual tropical atmosphere. You will already be missing the Outer Banks once you experience the true sea-to-table dining experience provided by Blue Water Grill and Raw Bar.

Evening

Take your deconstructed S'more ingredients, roast your 'mallows at the firepit, and build your own S'mores!

Check-out is at 11:00 AM. For anyone who scheduled OBX Adventures shuttle service, arrangements will be made to arrive 2-hours before their flight at (ORF).
